Being spiritual doesn't necessarily mean you walk around with crystals stashed in your bra (I've totally done this, BTW). Spirituality is expansive and comes in all forms. Whether you are in tune with your intuition, practice religion, or are passionate about meditative practices such as yoga or kundalini, being spiritual ultimately means that there's a deeper connection to our higher sense of being.
If you consider yourself a spiritual person, let's take a trip down memory lane and reminisce about past relationships we've had, have, or people we've encountered along the way. Like many spiritual people, you've prob attracted all kinds of personalities – some of which you wish you could forget. I for one, have had my fair share of relationships with men who seemed to have a "problem" that needed fixing. From money issues to heavy (and I mean heavy) baggage that should've been checked, I've had a history of attracting men who need healing. Can you relate?
Let's talk about why this is.
Light Attracts Dark
Spiritual people have an inner light, which in essence is like a magnetic pull of energy. Think about your favorite yoga teacher – isn't there just something about this person that makes you feel warm and fuzzy inside? This inner light attracts all kinds of people, and when you’re single and looking for love, you gotta' be on the lookout as darker energies are like moths to your flame. For example, if you've been in an abusive relationship or dealt with a narcissistic and or toxic friendship, this is likely because your light has attracted the dark. The thing that sucks the most is that we don't usually realize what we're getting ourselves into until it's too late (deep sigh).
Natural Born Healers
If you're a spiritual person, you're a healer, though you might not fully understand your gifts - most of us don't. For me, personally, I know that I love helping people but I'm not always sure how I'm supposed to do this. So, for now, I'll just continue being me and hope that I'll understand one day. Not all people who need healing have dark energy. Some have experienced past trauma and loss, and many suffer from mental health conditions such as anxiety. When you’re a spiritual person those who are inadvertently seeking healing find ease, comfort, and attraction in you as a person. Take a look at your relationships – do you see a common theme? Now, hold up! I'm not saying that you have to figure out "how-to" solve everyone's problems. You're not Mother Teresa. But knowledge is power and understanding WHY men (or women) who need healing are attracted to you will start to make sense.
Let Your Intuition Guide You
So, what can you do to make sure you're inviting the RIGHT kind of people into your life? It's important to listen to your intuition and always pay attention to that little voice within you. If you’re a spiritual person, you’re probably a good judge of character and should wear that skill like armor. I've also found great benefit in talking to my trusted Psychic about new relationships. I'll never forget the time I spoke to a Psychic who validated my feelings about a guy who was actively pursuing me. I just had a weird feeling about him but couldn’t put my finger on what it was. During a psychic love reading, my Psychic advised me to "stay away from the guy with dark hair. He's trouble." TG I listened because getting in deep with this person would've been self-sabotage as I later learned that he had a very dark past.
