4 Reasons You Should Never Use Karma to Do Your Dirty Work

Focus on the important things in life
Focus on the important things in life

Karma is an important consideration to keep in mind as you go about your life, but it's not some cosmic avenger. At some point, most people have said that karma will catch up to or get someone guilty of bad acts, and while that may indeed be true, it's not something to count on, especially as punishment. The fact is, if you wish for karma to make someone else pay for their deeds, it's bad for your karma.

You'll Create Your Own Bad Luck

One of the primary reasons you should never use karma to do your dirty work is because you could create bad luck for yourself. If you focus all your energy on wishing that something bad will happen to someone else, it's simply not healthy. You're asking for retribution, and in doing so, you could bring worse luck your way. Remember the golden rule, which is one of the best ways to improve your karma. However, if you treat others badly, or wish bad things upon them, you'll reap what you sow.

Your Karma Is Your Focus

You need to focus on your own karma by putting forth kindness. You don't need to focus on how karmic retribution is “taking care of” someone else. Just do your best to become a genuinely good, thoughtful, and compassionate person. Amp up your karma by:

  • Smiling
  • Doing nice things for others
  • Being kind when no one's there to see you
  • Donating time and/or money to charity
  • And not wishing that bad things will happen to others

If you need extra help, talk to a psychic online and ask what you can do to become a better person. Your psychic may also share other reasons you shouldn't use karma as your personal army.

You Can't Control It

You have to realize that you have no control over karma, especially as it applies to someone else. The truth is that karma isn't good and it isn't bad; it simply is. Sometimes bad things happen to good people and sometimes good things happen to bad people.

Such a simple view is sometimes frustrating, but it's really rather freeing to realize you can't control what happens to someone else. Certainly you don't really want that much power or responsibility. Each individual is responsible for his or her own karma. If someone treats you badly, he or she will deal with the consequences. You're responsible only for how you react; that's your karma.

Karma Has No Expectations

Because of those facts, karma doesn't have any expectations; it does not seek out specific people. If something is going wrong in your life because of another person, you aren't being somehow punished. Consider it a lesson, and perhaps talk to a real psychic to find out how you can better your situation. That's a much more valuable use of your time than hoping for bad things to happen to someone else.

If you're a good person who lives your life well, your karma will show it. Have you ever wished for karma to come back on a mean person?
