While they will separate for several months, Jupiter and Pluto will begin and end the year in harmony, though with a different focus. The year begins with Jupiter in its first full day in your relationship sector and having just turned direct on New Year’s Eve, this is more than a symbolic chance for a fresh start. Jupiter has been in retrograde motion for four months and as well as turning direct and shifting the focus away from the past and onto the future, as he will leave on 26th May this is when you will enter the final phase of this powerful year for relationship building. This comes just as Pluto moves into his final three weeks in your communication sector, and with he and the Sun both leaving on 21st January, as the tide turns on the relationship front it is with the full support of the communication gods.
Even after the Sun and Pluto move on, the support will still be there with Mars in your communication sector until 5th January, Mercury from 14th January to 5th February and Venus from 23rd January to 17th February, it is the planets of love and communication that will offer the most support. While there will be no more planetary activity in your communication sector by the time the dwarf planet Ceres leaves on 8th February and the most important months of the year on the relationship front are still in front of you, this will leave you with everything needed to keep the communication lines open. Meanwhile, as the planets leave your communication sector, they will follow Pluto into your home and family sector, where apart from 11 weeks from 2nd September to 20th November, he will call this home for the next 20 years.
It is not until Mars leaves on 23rd March that Pluto will be on his own, with two months for the planet of change and revolution to settle in and with ongoing support during that time. It is just over two months later that Jupiter will leave your relationship sector on 26th May and return to your financial sector to begin your biggest year for financial growth and expansion in over a decade. Surrounded by planetary support at the time, this will get this off to a powerful start, but it will also put Jupiter and Pluto back in harmony. While they will move straight into a friendly aspect, until Jupiter leaves in June 2025, there will be a lot of harmony and support for financial matters on the home front. Meanwhile, spending the whole of 2024 in a fun, playful, romantic, and creatively charged part of your chart, Saturn, the hard taskmaster of the cosmos, will be policing a balance between work and play.
This is a year where you won’t be able to judge a book by its cover, but where once you open it, you will find that there is so much more than first impressions would suggest. This year has two main surprises or exceptions to the norm, with one obvious from the start and the other not revealing itself for several months. Obvious from the start is just how active things are on the income front. The Sun will always leave your income sector just before Christmas and while Venus or Mercury can linger into the early days of the New Year, rarely are they as active as you will find things moving into 2024. This is a combination of Mars making his first visit in two years and both Venus and Mercury impacted by retrograde phases.
Mars returned a day after the Sun in November, but with the warrior planet of the cosmos not leaving until 5th January, you are moving into the year with his warrior and competitive spirit fired up. Meanwhile, held back by a retrograde phase Venus, the planet of money didn’t return until 30th November and until leaving on 23rd January she will be working to get the year off to a lucrative start. Mercury, who did leave your income sector in December retrograded back in just before Christmas and not leaving until 8th January, this allows you to begin the year with the smart head for money needed to keep your head in the game and your feet on the ground. When Venus leaves on 23rd January this will leave your income sector empty until she returns on 18th October to do it all over again, this time ushering in the second most lucrative period of 2024, which will run through to 8th January 2025.
Meanwhile, while this makes the first three weeks and the final two and a half months of 2024 the most potentially lucrative, it is on the other side of the financial fence that the biggest surprise awaits. It is just five days after the Sun returns to your financial sector on 21st May that everything will change. This is the point in each year when the solar spotlight will always shift onto your financial situation and money matters, but it is just five days later that on 26th May, Jupiter will return to begin your biggest year for financial growth and expansion in over a decade. Jupiter is here until June 2025 but having the Sun here from 21st May to 21st June, Venus from 24th May to 17th June, Mercury from 3rd June to 10th June and Mars from 21st July to 5th September will get this off to an empowered start. This is your best chance in 12 years to take your financial power back.
On both the romantic and relationship fronts, you have planets that have been here for years, which means that things will never go completely off the boil. However, on both fronts, there are three levels of layers of planetary activity. The first is the planetary activity that has been here for years, which is Neptune, the planet of dreams in your romantic sector since 2012, and Uranus, the planet of surprise, synchronicity, and the unexpected in your relationship sector since 2019. This is the unchanging backdrop, with Neptune working to keep the romantic dream alive and Uranus working to keep your relationships real and authentic. The second level is major planetary activity, but that isn’t here for as long.
On the romantic front, this is Saturn, who returned to your romantic sector for the first time in three decades in March 2023 and will continue to give you the resolve to turn Neptune’s dreams into reality until they both leave in early 2026. On the relationship front, this is coming from Jupiter, who returned to your relationship sector last May to support relationship growth for the first time in 12 years, while working with Uranus until he leaves on 26th May. The third layer is the faster planets that move quickly through your romantic and relationship sectors to make these the most active months of any year. It is when all three come together and you have some powerful and potentially game-changing months.
On the romantic front, this begins with the Sun’s return on 19th February and will end when Mars leaves on 1st May. With Venus here from 12th March to 5th April and Mars from 23rd March to 1st May, this is when the planets of love and passion will be working to make these some of the most romantically charged weeks of 2024. By the time Mars leaves, the Sun will already be in your relationship sector, with his return on 20th April beginning the most active months of the year on the relationship front, which Mars will end when he leaves on 21st July. Venus will move through from 28th April to 24th May, and with Jupiter leaving on 26th May, this will bring the planets of love and luck together here for the last time for another 12 years.
While your 2024 professional year gets off to a fairly quiet start and for the most part, is a continuation of last year, you will benefit from a chance to pause while there is every reason for confidence on the job and career fronts. There has been no planetary activity in your career sector since Venus left in October, as a retrograde phase had kept her here for four months a combination of her longest visit in our lifetime and Mars having made his first visit in two years, means that there is plenty of gas in your tank and a clear sense of professional direction from the start. With a Full Moon in your career sector on 26th January and the Moon returning every four weeks, this will keep the momentum going until the first planetary activity on the career front for the year begins in July.
There will be plenty to keep you busy until then, with your work sector coming alive in the first half of the year. With the dwarf planet Eris still in retrograde motion here as you move into the New Year, there might not be too much movement but for the first time in 18 years, you begin the year with the North Node here and this provides a clear sense of direction. Having returned in July 2023 and not due to leave until January 2025, this will keep work and job matters on track all year. This will also turn an ordinary New Moon here on 9th April into a total solar eclipse, with the potential for major new beginnings. By then, things will be a lot more active on the job front, though while Eris’ direct turn on 12th January will take the brakes off, it is not until Mercury returns on 10th March that things will really get moving.
Normally, here for just 14 to 15 days, a retrograde turn will keep Mercury in your work sector until 16th May, with the Sun and Venus both moving through in that time. However, the busiest and the most active weeks of the year on the job front are likely to be when Mars moves through from 1st May to 9th June. It is just three and a half weeks later that Mercury will return to your career sector to begin the first planetary activity on the career front for the year on 3rd July. While Mercury is only here until 26th July, he will retrograde back in for a second visit from 15th August to 9th September. With Venus here from 12th July to 5th August and the Sun from 22nd July to 23rd August, they will keep the seat warm while Mercury is gone. However, the biggest push could come when Mars returns from 4th November 2024 to 6th January 2025.
